They’ve been working alongside each other for 16-years now (and counting), both Puerto Rican and multi-award winning artists; Tainy a top-notch producer and Yandel (La Legenda), well a legendary singer. To celebrate their music achievements, the two industry giants have come together on DYNASTY,  a collaborative album which honors their career journey and the globalization of Reggaeton throughout recent years.

Using basketball championship as a reference for the concept and visuals, they teamed up with American sportswear brand Starter for their limited-edition merch collaboration with Greenhouse and Foot Locker. The championship symbolizes the feelings of pride, thrill and joy that often come with victory, feelings which are all encapsulated within their 16-year relationship. The four-piece collaboration dropped on July 9th, where the artists held a press conference and meet and greet for fans at the Foot Locker flagship store in Times Square powered by Puma.

“For me, it feels like the first day he gave me a chance by listening to my music. The only difference now would be I was intimidated like crazy that first time, but chemistry was instant. It continues today; we’re not afraid to go back and try things we have never done before, and that’s what makes this album special.”Tainy

The first single to kick-off the album, accompanied by it’s music video “Deja Vu,” pays homage to the nineties Chicago Bulls with customised special edition jackets designed by renowned fashion designer Jeff Hamilton, who’s designs have previously been spotted on NBA legends such as Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant and Lebron James. In an epic press conference, the video premiered in a historic event in Eco Sports Park in Puerto Rico and 13 stadiums across the United States and Latin America.

On the afrobeat “Si Te Vas,” featuring American rapper Saint JHN, Tainy showcases why he remains Billboard’s #1 Latin music producer for 87 weeks and counting, demonstrating his capability to create music that resonates with Global audiences while in songs like “Buscando Calor,” Yandel remains Loyal to his melodic tones and romantic flair.

“For me, [Tainy] is the best producer in Latin Music. He’s so ahead of his time and always takes rhythms and beats to another level. I’m happy to work on DYNASTY with him. We are enjoying this experience to the max.” Yandel

And although Yandel was already on route to global success when he began to work with Tainy, Tainy has played a significant role in the amplification of Latin music on a global scale, as the master behind crossover and career-defining hits for artists such as Daddy Yankee, Bad Bunny, J Balvin, Rosalia, Lauren Jauregui, Zion & Lennox, Anuel, Ozuna, Don Omar, Wisin & Yandel, Kali Uchis, Rauw Alejandro, Jhay Cortez. The producer made his artist debut in 2019, topping the charts with singles like “I Can’t Get Enough,” “Adicto,” and  “Callaita.” and most recently contributed as executive producer for Selena Gomez’s first full Spanish language EP “Revelacion”.

With DYNASTY, Yandel’s iconic voice alongside the groundbreaking production that has contributed to the movement’s growth over the years, deliver a sweet nostalgic project that commemorates the genre’s different phases and fusions.
