The man of the hour, Benito Martinez better known as Bad Bunny, took home his first golden gramophone last night (March 14)  at The 63rd Annual Grammy Awards ceremony held in Los Angeles Convention Center in L.A.

Although there was no live audience due to the pandemic and in line with all COVID regulations, the Puerto Rican superstar also made his performance debut alongside fellow Puerto Rican reggaetonero Jhay Cortez and their song “DÁKITI,” in a display full of neon lights that formed one of his signature symbols, an eye.

Bad Bunny, who was also nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance (for “Un Dia (One Day)” with J Balvin, Dua Lipa, and Tainy) said during his acceptance speech: “I’m very happy, I am very proud. I want to thank every person in the world that listens to my music, and supports my career and ideas. It’s very special to achieve my dreams by simply doing what I love.”

YHLQMDLG, which included the mega hits “Yo Perreo Sola”  and “Safaera”, was up against albums from fellow nominees Camilo, Kany Garcia, Ricky Martin and Debi Nova.

Once again Reggaeton scoring a win whilst the Bunny continues to raise the bar – and push all boundaries – for the culture!
