Bad Bunny becomes new co-owner of Puerto Rican basketball team Los Cangrejeros de Santurce

Following his dream debut in WWE’s “Royal Rumble” last February, Benito Antonio Martinez, aka Bad Bunny, continues to show his athletic side.

Last Monday (May 17), the Puerto Rican rapper was named new partner of his homeland’s national basketball team Los Cangrejeros de Santurce, alongside manager Noah Assad and Rimas Music Entertainment Vice President, Jonathan Miranda.

In a bid to transform the Island’s image, the renewed franchise also announced new talent with the return of other NBA stars including Jose Juan Barea, previously a Dallas Mavericks player.

“The goal is to promote a better future through sports, music, and the arts. The main objective is to encourage ideas and dreams in Puerto Rican youth, which provoke an authentic and real social transformation, ” the club officially announced in a statement.

Following his participation in two NBA celebrity All-star Games back in 2020, the “Yo Perreo Sola” singer showed his love for sports once again earlier on this year with his performance of “Booker T” (I mean, who names a song after a professional Wrestler?) and his wrestling debut, at WWE Wrestlemania; once a game-changer, always a game-changer!
